Period | Name of time, expense and/or mileage period for the user | N | Value in this field must exactly match the name of the period that is in existence in the application. Using the field label "Period" will set the time, expense and mileage periods to the single value selected. If you want to assign different periods to each type of entry (time, expense or mileage), replace the Period field with 3 fields named as follows: TimePeriod, ExpensePeriod, MileagePeriod. Then you can enter a different period value for each type of entry. You can also set all 3 entry types to one period using the Period field. Then you can add a specific field (e.g., TimePeriod) to change one of the entry types to a different period. |
Policy | Name of the policy to assign to the user | N | Value in this field must exactly match the name of a policy that is in existence in the application. Any Custom Fields that you add to your users can be imported in this file. Just add a column for each field that you want to import. The Header must exactly match the name you gave the field. The field size was determined when you created the field. You can create new fields by going to Configuration-->Custom Fields. Values for Custom Fields will always be imported, even if blank, unless the value found in the field is the special string "JX_NO_MODIFY" (without the quotes). | |||
There are several User Preference fields that are not accessible through the administrative interface of the application. Those fields appear only on each user's Preference page. Those fields may be imported with the user import file. The location of these fields in the file is not important. If you include any of these columns in your import file and you leave the field blank for a particular user, then the data that is already in that field will be left in place. | |||
